Why are cat faces always used?

Anytime anybody wants to create a feeling like, "This is weird and funny and interesting and unique," they always use at least one cat face.

Maybe somebody should document all the crazy, loco, silly, stupid websites that rely heavily on cats to bring the crazy.

I didn't notice the cat til you pointed it out.

Maybe it's because cat's would just as soon scratch your face off as look at you so people instinctively know it's crazy to have a cat around.

The reason I used the picture of that cat on my website www.reallyawfulstuff.com is because his story is really awful. He came to me one Sunday at Church. No one wanted him so I adopted him. I let my son name him and it was right around the time The Lion King cartoon came out, so he named him Mufassa. As he aged, he started getting sores all over his body that wouldn't heal because he bit and scratched them all day. We put a cone on his head to prevent the picking but the sores never went away. His hair became matted from lack of grooming so we shaved him. His whole body was covered in sores and he got sick 'cause he had no hair to keep him warm. We put him to sleep. So ends my really awful story of my website mascot, Mufassa that cone-wearing cat. Not wierd, not funny, not interesting or unique, just really awful.
